The numbers, I will be using, is from the Lake City Board Of Realtors for the Month of April, 2013 compared to April, 2012. This report describes member activity for the Assoc. and is not confined to any geographic area and is for single family homes. My name is Bruce Dicks, and I am a Realtor with Coldwell Banker Bishop Realty and a Member of the Lake City Board of Realtors, along with NAR.
The average sale price was $141,611 for April 2013 compared to $127,063 for April 2012.
Closed Sales for April 2013, was 45 compared to April 2012, which was 38. That is up 182. The paid in Cash homes were 24 for April 2013 and 16 for April 2012. There was a couple of good numbers, I see is that new pending sales for April 2013 was 62, compared to April 2012 pending of just 47. Also, the days on the market of a home went down from 108 days on the market in April of 2012 to 84 for April 2013.
All the above numbers are better than in the year 2012, but the numbers comparing last month to this month in the 2013, has went down, except for the average price.
So, is now a good time to buy Lake City FL real estate? I think it is! The interested rates are still low!
