The numbers, I will be using, is from the Lake City Board Of Realtors for the Month of March, 2013 compared to March, 2012. This report describes member activity for the Assoc. and is not confined to any geographic area and is for single family homes. My name is Bruce Dicks, and I am a Realtor with Coldwell Banker Bishop Realty and a Member of the Lake City Board of Realtors, along with NAR.
Closed Sales for March 2013, was 51 compared to March 2012, which was 59. That is a negative 13.6%. The paid in Cash homes were 24 for March 2013 and 26 for March 2012. There was a couple of good numbers, I see is that new pending sales for March 2013 was 75, compared to March 2012 pending of just 54. Also, the days on the market of a home went down from 83 days on the market in March of 2012 to 67 for March 2013.
The average sale price was $107,484 for March 2013 compared to $114,045 for March 2012.
So, is now a good time to buy Lake City FL real estate? I think it is! The interested rates are still low, and the average sales price is still low. I have also seen on the news that some of the bigger Cities are starting to pick back up.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
